You and I

don't you worry, there my honey
we might not have any money
but we've got our love to pay the bills

maybe I think you're cute and funny,
maybe I wanna do what bunnies do with you,
if you know what I mean

Oh, let's get rich and buy our parents homes in the South of France
let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters
and teach them how to dance
let's get rich and build our house on a mountain
making everybody look like ants
from way up there, you and I, you and I, you and I,

well you might be a bit confused
and you might be a little bit bruised
but baby how we spoon like no one else
so I will help you read those books
if you will soothe my worried looks
and we will put the lonesome on the shelf

oh lets get rich and buy our parents homes in the South of France
let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters
and teach them how to dance
let's get rich and build our house on a mountain
making everybody look like ants
from way up there you and I, you and I, you and I

oh, lets get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France
let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters
and teach them how to dance
let's get rich and build our house on a mountain
making everybody look like ants
from way up there you and I, you and I, you and I

Southpaw

There I was, feeling like a dead cat sprayed upon
the main road. All colours gone now, only paint now
could be worse though, some are born as rats, you know.
I won't moan, no, I won't moan.

Even if the red planet blinds me
it's a sight I'd wish again to see
and it seems nothing else is interesting
as good things go by quickly

Four Letter Word (Demo) - Ilko Birov

Link to Reverbnation

Have you ever loved someone?
Been with them through thick and strong?
Listened to her all day long
Heard of all the good old songs
by other people everywhere
Singing about love

Four letters are in this word
Mix them up and it gets blurred
Say it right and you'll be heard
Say it right and you'll be heard
'Cause everybody wants to know you care
Even if you really aren't there

I flew towards a bridge the other day
I was so joyous that I simply could not stay on the ground beneath my feet
And the cops they came to meet me
One grabbed me by the shirt
Threw me in his car
Took me to a place

Downtown (many times)

So have you ever loved someone?
Been with her through thick and strong?
Listened to her all day long
Heard of all those good old songs
Of other people singing about love

A Place They Call The Machine - Ilko Birov

You're here, and I can see, that you're afraind
But don't be
They've got everything you need

It's like a story full of passion
You really feel alive

And you know, you know, you know, you know
you've really got no place to go
(Segregation, yet no crimes, people's tongues, race their minds)
It's just a place they call The Machine

Now, you want some television? Pop-corn or rice?
Perhaps a movie, perhaps two?
Want some television? Pop-corn or mice?

But you know, you know, you know, you know
You've really got nowhere to go
There's segregation, yet no crime, people's tongues, race their mind

That's what they call it, The Machine

humm, humm humm

Suicide Squeeze blog post

The Drugs Don't Work (Cover)

At the Crossroads

Went down to the crossroads
Had myself a time
Down to the crossroads
Had myself a time
Nobody knew me, thought I was lying

I went down to Rosedale
Took my ride by my side
Went down to Rosedale
Took my ride by my side
Took a lot of thinkin', babe, woo-hoo, my whole life just passed me by

I went down to the crossroads
Tried to flag a ride
Down to the crossroads
Tried to flad a ride
No-body seemed to see me, woo-hoo, everybody passed me by

Been down to the ball park
Ask my friend poor Willie Brown
Down to the ball park
Ask my friend poor Willie Brown
Don't you got a light now, son? Woo-hoo, I believe it's time to go

I went down to the crossroads
Fell down on my knees
Went down to the crossroads
Fell on my bended knees
Begged the Lord above for mercy, woo-hoo, help me if you please
